Bahar Yıldız Kutman, Gebze Teknik Üniversitesi Biyoteknoloji Enstitüsü’nde Dr. Öğretim Üyesidir ve Bitki Biyoteknolojisi, Fizyolojisi ve Besleme Laboratuvarı’nı birlikte yönetir. Lisans (2008) ve doktora (2013) eğitimini Sabancı Üniversitesi Biyolojik Bilimler ve Biyomühendislik programında tamamladı; GTÜ’ye katılmadan önce Konya Gıda ve Tarım Üniversitesi’nde ve University of California, Davis’te çalıştı.
Araştırmaları bitki biyolojisi ve biyoteknolojisi, topraksız ve dikey tarım, biyostimülantlar ve bitki besleme ürünleri, tohum uygulamaları ve sürdürülebilir tarım üzerinedir. Çalışmalarının büyük bölümü laboratuvar bulgularını üreticilerin kullanabileceği ürün ve uygulamalara dönüştürmeyi amaçlar.
