Nutrient recipes for the Plant Factory soilless vertical farming system
Nutrient solutions were trialled in the vertical farming R&D unit on the GTÜ campus, and the recipes adapted to each crop.
Aim: To develop plant nutrition recipes for the soilless vertical farming system of Plant Factory.
Methods: Different nutrient solution compositions are tried in the vertical farming R&D unit on the GTÜ campus; growth, yield and quality measurements then tune the recipes to the crop.
Scope: Run as a GTÜ TTO R&D project with Plant Factory and completed in 2022.
