Duckweed as a functional food and a biostimulant for sustainable food and circular agriculture
Started in 2026 with YÖK ADEP support, the project looks at a fast-growing aquatic plant both as a food source and as a biostimulant for crops.
Aim: To evaluate duckweed (Lemna minor), a fast-growing aquatic plant, in two directions: as a nutritious functional food and as a biostimulant for crop production.
Scope: Carried out under the YÖK Research Support Programme (ADEP), led by Dr. Hande Mutlu Durak, and started in 2026.
