He works on the biodegradable growth plugs developed in the lab from natural materials such as cocopeat, biochar and PBAT, and on functionalising them with beneficial bacteria so that seeds germinate better and young plants grow stronger. He tests the plugs in the greenhouse, in growth chambers and in vertical farms, with lettuce, basil and tomato.
