Thesis title: Investigation of the physiological, biochemical and molecular effects of nano iron oxide application on soybean
PhD · Institute of Biotechnology, Gebze Technical University · 2026–present

Ahmet Buğrahan Akbıyık started his doctorate in the lab in 2026. He studied agricultural genetic engineering at Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University, spending 2019–2020 as an exchange student at the University of Pannonia, and his master’s thesis there examined the physiological, biochemical and molecular effects of nano iron oxide on soybean.

He took part in a TÜBİTAK 1007 project on vegetable breeding as a TÜBİTAK STAR intern, joined an Erasmus+ training mobility at the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague in 2024, and is on the team of an R&D project on producing quality rootstocks of Turkish hazel (Corylus colurna) by tissue culture.
