Our contributions to the fourth edition of Marschner's Mineral Nutrition of Plants

The fourth edition of “Marschner’s Mineral Nutrition of Plants”, which the international plant nutrition community regards as the most important reference book in the field, was published in December 2022. The book was rewritten to reflect current developments in the field and published by Academic Press (Elsevier), with Zed Rengel, İsmail Çakmak and Philip White as editors. In total, 37 authors from 13 countries, including the editors, contributed to its 20 chapters.

Two faculty members from our lab at the GTÜ Institute of Biotechnology are among those authors. Ümit Barış Kutman is the sole author of chapter 9, “Mineral Nutrition and Crop Quality”, and Bahar Yıldız Kutman wrote the “Nickel” section of chapter 7, “Micronutrients”.
