Domestically built smart agriculture automation device Farmomnia installed at GTÜ

A domestically produced Smart Agriculture Automation Device developed under a university and industry collaboration has been installed in the LED-Supported Vertical Farming Laboratory (LAVFARM) on the GTÜ campus. The device is the result of R&D work that followed the protocol signed in summer 2021 between MANAKİN Elektronik Yazılım A.Ş. and Gebze Technical University (GTÜ). With it, a device for soilless farming at national and international standards was produced domestically for the first time.
The installation took place with GTÜ-ATAM Director Prof. Dr. Yelda Özden Çiftçi and MANAKİN co-founders Çağdaş Kızak and İhsan Öztürk. The device, named Farmomnia, will analyse and report data on the plants being grown, such as pH, EC, temperature and humidity. It will also allow data relevant to plant nutrition to be monitored and different nutrient recipes to be applied.
