Student startup Agriverts to give soilless and vertical farming training

Agriverts, a smart agriculture startup founded by Gebze Technical University (GTÜ) students and alumni, will give soilless and vertical farming training in pilot districts. The startup will run the training together with the GTÜ Technology Transfer Office and the GTÜ Institute of Biotechnology, the institute our lab is part of. Under the social responsibility project, soilless farming training seminars will be held in pilot schools together with the district governorate and the directorates of national education, and school students will also receive interactive training through a mobile application.

Agriverts develops solutions based on artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things (IoT) that aim to make safe, high-yield and continuously monitored farming possible in small spaces in big cities. The startup was founded under the lead of GTÜ students and alumni, among them Abdullah Duman, a student of Molecular Biology and Genetics.
