Plant Factory opens at İstinye Park

The vertical farming facility of Plant Factory Bitki ve Gıda Sistemleri A.Ş. at İstinye Park, with whom we carry out our soilless and vertical farming work, opened on 27 April 2023. It is the first vertical farm in the world to be built inside a shopping mall, and its first produce went on sale the same day at the İstinye Park Macrocenter.

Our lab runs the academic side of the four-year R&D collaboration protocol signed between Gebze Technical University and Plant Factory in December 2020.
